La Cornue range repair, Château to CornuFé
La Cornue traces itself to Paris in 1908, when Albert Dupuy built an oven with a vaulted ceiling that moves hot air around the food. That vault still defines the Château. We repair both La Cornue range families on Oahu.

Château and CornuFé side by side
The two lines share a name but little else in the way they are built, so the first question on any call is which one you own.

Is my CornuFé part of the test cap recall?
It may be, if it is a dual fuel CornuFé 90 (model LAC9) or CornuFé 110 (model LAC1) built March 19, 2025 through July 24, 2026. CPSC announced the recall on September 10, 2026: the cap on the gas manifold's test port may be missing, which can let gas leak. About 3,992 units are covered, shared with two AGA range lines, all made by AGA Rangemaster Limited in the United Kingdom. No incidents were reported. Induction models are not affected.

Utility gas or propane under your La Cornue
Gas cooking is a minority choice in Hawaii, about one home in ten, so a gas La Cornue is a rare range here. Homes on the utility pipeline get a blend that can include synthetic natural gas, renewable gas, propane and LNG; homes off the pipeline run on propane from tanks. Tell us which you have. EPA advises running an outdoor-vented exhaust fan over any gas stove, and La Cornue sells matching CornuFé hoods for that job.
