Electrolux washer and washing machine repair
The 2018 Electrolux front-load guide covers the inner wash tub for the functional life of the washer and the tub drive motor for ten years. Both are parts only, so labor is the bill.

Who pays for an Electrolux washer after year one?
You pay labor, and often less than you would think for parts. Under the 2018 guide, year one is parts and labor. Year two is parts only. After that, two pieces stay covered as parts: the inner wash tub for the life of the washer and the tub drive motor for ten years. So a failed motor in year six is a labor-only job if the paperwork is in order. Older guides may differ. Find yours, and the receipt, before the visit.
What is your Electrolux washer trying to say?
| What you see | What the guide says | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| HO, then SE, then 0 minutes, repeating | Hot and cold supply hoses are reversed | Owner: press Cancel, shut the valves, swap the hoses |
| Hard shaking on the first loads | Shipping bolts and foam block left in, or legs not level | Owner or installer; a technician if it persists |
| Clean washer light on | A reminder every 50 cycles | Owner: run it with the drum empty |
| Water creeping out while it fills | Standpipe under 23.6 inches (60 cm) can siphon | Raise the drain hose or standpipe |
| No visible steam on Perfect Steam | Steam may not show; the option adds about 20 minutes | Normal, no repair |
| Slow fill, long cycles | Supply must be at least 30 psi | Check valves and screens, then a technician |
Keeping an Electrolux front loader fresh on Oahu
A shut, wet front loader dries slowly in humid Oahu air, so the gasket and drum need help. Run the Clean Washer cycle when the light asks, every 50 cycles, and take everything out first: the guide warns that items left in the drum can throw a severe out-of-balance. Leave the door open between loads. Then look behind the machine. Electrolux says to replace inlet hoses every 5 years, sooner if one bulges, kinks, cracks or leaks, and in a condo a burst hose is a neighbor's problem too.
