Viking range repair for 5 and 7 Series stoves
Across the front of a Viking 7 Series range, Elevation burners with brass ports are rated at 23,000 BTU each. That is a lot of flame to keep lit and even. We repair Viking ranges, stoves and cooktop burners in Oahu kitchens.

Pipeline gas or a tank: it matters to a Viking
A Viking range is ordered for natural gas or for LP. On Oahu, homes on the pipeline get utility gas, which includes synthetic natural gas made from naphtha, and homes off the pipeline run on propane from tanks. Viking lets a natural gas range be converted in the field with its optional LP kit. A range that moved house, or a kitchen that switched supply, may be set up for the wrong gas. So we confirm which fuel the range is set for before replacing anything.

Why would a Viking oven turn on by itself?
On some older freestanding gas ranges, liquid seeping into the control panel area was the cause, Viking says. In May 2015 CPSC announced the recall of about 52,000 of them in the US, plus about 8,300 in Canada, sold from July 2007 to June 2014. There were 75 reports, three of them burns. If your range dates from that window, read the first six digits of the serial, which are the build date, and check it against the recall before booking a regular repair.
