Liebherr refrigerator and ice maker repair
The Liebherr HC 1570G carries climate class SN-T, built to perform fully in room air from 50°F to 109°F, but it is not rated for outdoor use. Keep it indoors and call us when it stops holding temperature.

Water at the hinge in a humid house
Most Hawaii homes have no central AC, so a fridge here often works in warm, damp air. Liebherr fits a heater behind the base plate to keep the lower hinge area dry. If beads of water show there or between the compartments, its output can be raised in setup mode; its default setting is medium. Try that first. If water still beads with the heater turned up, a door seal or the heater itself is next.

Lights and codes on a Liebherr fridge
Most Liebherr messages are quick owner tasks; one is a call to us. Generic cooling causes sit on the problem pages below.
F1 to F5
Liebherr treats any of these as an appliance fault. Write the exact number down before you call.
Air Filter LED
Pull the magnetic toe-kick grille, wash the filter by hand or in the dishwasher, then reset the LED.
Water-drop symbol
Time for a new water filter. It twists a quarter turn, with no need to shut the water off.
Flashing IceMaker LED
No water is reaching the ice maker. Check the supply valve and the line before anything else.
Door alarm beeping
It sounds after about 180 seconds open. A door that will not seal fully keeps it going.
Blinking tank light
On tank-fed models like the HC 1570G, refill with cold drinking water or re-seat the tank.

Was my Liebherr in the 2011 door recall?
Only if it is one of the 30 inch bottom-freezer models named. On March 3, 2011, about 5,702 built-in units such as the C 1600, CI 1601 and CI 1700 were recalled because a door could detach, after ten reports and no injuries. Owners were told to look for a hinge pin that had popped up at the top or bottom. On November 16, 2011, about 8,000 freestanding CS 1601, CS 1640 and CS 1650 units sold February 2004 through July 2009 were added, after 16 more reports including two injuries.
